Movies are the greatest source of information, learning, generating new ideas and lastly, of course, entertainment. Before smartphone era started, I used to watch several movies. I still remember renting movies from Block Buster, Netflix by mail and seriously watch them having popcorn on the side. These days, watching a movie is a big project. There is a lack of attention as well. I made a decision to pick great movies (old or new) and watch them giving full attention, just like I used to do. This is working out great. So, I thought of creating a movie log to archive what I watched and help others to find great movies.

The War with Grandpa | Watched it on: 10 Apr 2021 I don't know why this movie is rated 5.5/10 on IMDB. A very good family movie. My daughter and wife also loved it. I am a big fan of Robert De Niro. If he is there in a movie, he will ensure 100% entertainment to the families. Put this movie in your list. | 4.5 out of 5.0 stars4.5 |
The Great Indian Kitchen | Watched it on: 08 Apr 2021 A very good movie that reveals the mundane life of women in a male-dominated society and how they are drawn to household chores. 5 Flights Up | Watched it on: 21 Feb 2021 I am a big fan of Morgan Freeeman movies. Who is not? His movies always have lots of weight both in terms of story and acting. This movie showcases the hardship of old couple in New York who deal with real-estate agents to sell their apartment because of its location high up on 5th floor. It's shocking to know how realtors nicely take advantage local news to trick residents to sell or buy properties. A must watch movie. | 4.5 out of 5.0 stars4.5 |

The movie is all about depicting the Fred's extraordinary skill of handling his emotions. When a popular cynical writer Lloyd Vogel comes to interview him unwillingly and he learns life lessons from him to solve his own anger against his dad. A very good movie. Tom Hanks magic never ends. | 4.0 out of 5.0 stars4.0 |
The Call of the Wild | Watched it on: 29 Jan 2021 Another Dog based movie. My daughter's curiosity in pets is driving us watch pet themed movies on our weekly movie nights. My wife picked this movie to watch. A good family movie to watch for sure. A story about a dog's destiny to the wild. It finds a new home in a pack of wolves. Because, it belongs there. The underlying message is great. We all have a set destiny where we belong and something is driving us there. What we born with and where, it does not matter. Don't look back. Keep going. | 4.5 out of 5.0 stars4.5 |

The Walk | Watched it on: 15 Nov 2020 Wow! what a movie. It is definitely worth your time. Especially, the "Walk" and the views are breathtaking. A must watch a movie. | 5.0 out of 5.0 stars5.0 |
Pursuit of Happiness | Watched it on: 24 Jul 2020 This is a true story of Investor Chris Gardner and his struggle to find himself in the business world. Will Smith, no doubt, game his ultimatum. One line from this movie, "Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t do something. Not even me." struck me hard, and it reminds me always not to get discouraged whatever happens and go behind the dream. | 5.0 out of 5.0 stars5.0 |
